Colin Caldecott of Wrexham caught a Rainbow of 6lb which was the heaviest fish of the month. The fish was caught from the bank on a Black Gnat.
John & Christine MacDonald from the Isle of Wight had an excellent day catching a combined 29 fish from the boat. These were taken on Diawl Bach's, Black Pennells and Black Fritz. Ron Cornwell of Rhayader had 10 trout up to 3 1/2lb and a Carp of around 4lb on various flies from the bank. Ken & Steve Holroyd both had 9 fish each from the bank with both taking fish up to 3 1/2 lb. These were taken on Buzzers, Damsels and Dry's Mr Giles of Hay on Wye also had a Carp of around 4lb and 9 trout from the bank. All taken on Buzzers. Buzzers were also success for B Densombe of Llandrindod Wells who landed 9 trout from the bank. Best flies for April were –Buzzers, Diawl Bach, Damsels and Dry's

Wow, it's always fascinating to read about the latest fishing updates from the Rhayader and Elan Valley Angling Association. It seems like April was an eventful month with some impressive catches. Colin Caldecott's 6lb Rainbow fish must have been quite a challenge to reel in, especially when caught from the bank using a Black Gnat.

Llyngwyn fishing report for April is good and there are a lot of people who like to learn fishing. I saw a lot of people who are doing good in it and always have the best techniques to catch a lot of fishes in a short time.
