Congratulations to John Felton on winning the competition and thanks to everyone who attended. Next club competition is on Dolymynach reservoir sunday 8th September. Our 3rd Beginners session on Llyngwyn will be held at 5pm on Saturday 3rd August. Please can everyone wishing to attend let us know so that we can ensure we have adequate numbers of anglers and equipment.
Llyngwyn fishing report for June
John Henderson of Rhayader caught the heaviest fish of the month weighing 5lb one of 6 fish caught from the bank on dries and buzzers. K Jones of Tenbury Wells also managed to land a 3.5lb rainbow from the bank on a Black Shuttlecock. Ian Cornwell of Bridport had a great day landing 10 trout for a combined weight of approximately 18lb caught on a squirmy worm. Mark Esworthy of Howey landed 8 trout for an approximate combined weight of 15lb. These were taken on an Adam's from the bank. Best flies for June were Buzzers, Dries and Nymphs The second Claerwen club competition will be held on 14th July 10am - 5pm. If you wish to attend please meet at the dam from 9am onwards.

Thanks to everyone who attended our beginners day today. Conditions were a bit tough but we did manage a couple of hook ups. Great to see the improvement in casting and retrieving. Will hopefully have another session later in July.
