Claerwen Shield Competition

​Sunday the 16th of June is the date of this year's Claerwen Shield. The date is picked each year to hopefully coincide with the emergence of the Coch-y-bonddu beetle which get the trout rising. Everyone is welcome and if you would like to join the competition we meet up at 9am at the dam wall and head off at 10am. Completion finishes at 5pm and we meet up a The Elan Hotel, Rhayader no later than 5.30pm for the weigh in.
